1955-2024 ~ John Nicholson passed away surrounded by loved ones on October 05 in 100 Mile District General Hospital.
He is loved and remembered by his husband Steven and sons Justin (Marcy) and Mike (Dayna). His memories will be carried on by his grandchildren Taylor, Kate, Anthony and Olivia. John shared his life with brothers and sisters; Pat, Dave, Shannon, Roxanne and Suzanne, with a multitude of nephews and nieces.
He grew up in the Hope area and raised his family there. After moving his family to Chilliwack in the early 90s, John's journey took him to Vancouver, Burnaby, Sechelt, Kamloops and the 70 Mile area. He created friendships and community in each of these places.
In the 2000s John was able to achieve a dream of building his own home and homestead near Chasm Provincial Park. This home became a welcoming and safe place for friends and family to gather to enjoy fresh air and clear skies.
He expanded his love of nature to increase his understanding of plants and healing. John loved exploring the Chasm and working his land to grow vegetables and herbs.
John will be loved and remembered for his dreams and messages of freedom, peace and love for everyone and our natural world.
