John A Wiebe passed into the presence of his Lord on December 8, 2016 at the age of 89. John was born on August 1, 1927 in Beaverlodge, Alberta. His family moved to BC in 1947 and, in 1952, John married Martha, the love of his life. John loved the Lord and was very active in his church. He had a special way of making people feel loved and cared for. John is survived by Martha, his six children, Elaine Stade (Earl), Brenda Evans, Bev Hardy (Russ), Gwen Converse (Bill), John Wiebe (Cathy), Val Thiessen (Stan), 30 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren. Also survived by siblings Martha Wiebe and Ed (Vicki) Wiebe. Predeceased by his parents, Aron & Tina, brother Jack and sisters Erna Heinrichs, Jessie Harder and Helen Voth. The Memorial Service will be held at Broadway Church in Chilliwack on Wednesday, December 14th at 2:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations to John’s nephew and his wife, Doug and Lynn Harder, working with Send International in SE Asia would be appreciated. (www.send.org)
