John Stuart Lowe — passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 29 at Heritage Village in Chilliwack.
Stu will be sadly missed by his daughter Nita (Russ), sons Doug (Marilyn), Russell (LaVerne), his grandchildren Sherry, Justin, Nathan and LaKeasha and many close family friends. He was predeceased by his wife Eileen.
Stu was born in Chilliwack in 1922 to John Paul and Elizabeth Lowe, one of Rosedale’s early farm families. He will be remembered for his love of family, aircraft, motorcycles and amazing technical and mechanical abilities. Stu served with the RCAF from 1942 — 1946 as a Leading Aircraftsman. Following the war, Stu moved to Vancouver where he lived and worked until retirement from Auto Marine Electric. Stu moved back to Chilliwack in 1995.
A memorial service will be held at Henderson’s Funeral Home Chapel in Chilliwack on Saturday, December 6th at 11:00 AM with Father Fred Tassinari Officiating.
Donations may be made in memory of Stu to the BC Heart & Stroke Foundation.
