John Russell Norrish aged 59, passed away suddenly at home July 21, 2004. John was born July 26, 1944 in Mission City, B.C., and lived the majority of his years in Chilliwack and the Fraser Valley area, before moving to Greenwood, B.C. in 2002.
John was predeceased by his mom Belle Morris in 1985.
He will be sadly missed by his father Gordon Norrish; and lovingly remembered by his wife Marilyn; his children, Dennis Norrish, Chandra Callison, and Russell Norrish, Alisa Smith, Mark Bitz, and Krista Evans; siblings, Shirley Dobay, Max Norrish, Alfred Norrish, and Sonya Paterson; as well as 15 grandchildren; and numerous nephews and nieces.
John was a loader operator for over 30 years, and most enjoyed fishing, community activities, demolition derbies and spending time with family and friends. His kind heart and incredible sense of humour will be missed by all.
Services will be held July 30, 2004 at 2 p.m. in the United Church in Greenwood. Lunch to follow.
