March 15, 1925 - December 3, 2020
John Ross Morrison Born 15 March 1925 in Beaverton, Ontario, passed peacefully on 3 December 2020 at Eden Home Chilliwack.
Arriving at Base Chilliwack, the "Beaverton Kid" met the love of his life Audrey. He trained as a military engineer and was retained as an instructor at CFB Chilliwack. At the close of World War 11 he married Audrey. They had 56 happy years until Audrey was prematurely taken in February 2001.
After discharge in 1946 he became an electrical foreman for CFB Chilliwack until 1955 when he joined BC Hydro.
Retiring in 1988, dad was proud of his crews and hated the idea of retiring. Involvement in the community was a big part of dad's life.
Ross and Audrey took great pride in their children, choosing to be involved with many of their activities. Camping trips were the norm for the family with many great memories. Late night pick up of band equipment after a dance, moving horses or whatever it took to help was the norm.
Ross had many good friends and for years could be found in the evenings enjoying conversations over coffee at the local Tim Horton's and McDonalds.
Pre-deceased by his wife Audrey, their surviving Son, Larrie, (Karen). Daughter Jacque Stromquist (Alben). Son Les (Elva) 9 grandchildren and 9 Great Grandchildren.
Dad will always be missed; his passing leaves a big hole in all our lives.
