John P. Enns

Beloved husband of Kathie Enns of Chilliwack, British Columbia
John P. Enns, beloved husband of Kathie Enns was born December 13, 1944 to Frank and Margaret Enns in Winkler, Manitoba. John grew up on the family farm with 1 brother and 5 sisters in Carmen, Manitoba. He enjoyed farming and combining. He accepted Christ as his Saviour and was baptized at the Elm Creek Church in Elm Creek when he was 17 years.
On August 30 1969, he married Tillie H. Enns and they had two daughters: Kimberley and Alyssa. They moved to Delta, British Columbia for new challenges.
John enjoyed creating new businesses. He developed a number of audio/video stores and a speaker manufacturing plant. He also created two successful international, intermodal freight companies.
On February 14 1996, John married Kathie Carrasco of South Surrey and the family expanded to include Nina and Rod. They moved to Chilliwack where he continued his passions of classic cars and audio speaker design. He then worked for several years with the Ford Dealership in Chilliwack, where his customers quickly became his friends.
Recently, John developed a new passion for walking. His favorite place was walking along the Vedder River Trail where he walked 13 Km every day. He brought an uplifting energy to the trail where he made friends easily. He loved watching for eagles, meeting up with several fellow walkers and getting to pet their dogs.
John passed away on May 17, 2021 after a battle with cancer. He is survived and greatly missed by his loving wife Kathie, his 4 Children Kimberley (John), Alyssa (Atesh), Nina and Rod, as well as 8 Grandchildren and 2 Great Grandchildren, his Sisters Agatha (Abe), Martha (Henry Enns) and Hilda (Werner Dick) and his Sister-in-Law Maggie Janzen (Jake) and his Brother-in-Law Dave Enns (Esther) and his many Nieces and Nephews.
He was predeceased by his Brothers Jake and Frank, his Sisters Esther (Dave Enns), Leona (Davyd Hepburn), Helena and his Parents Frank J. and Margaret Enns.
