John Edward Koehn of Chilliwack, B.C. passed away peacefully at home.
John was born, raised and lived his entire life in Chilliwack and spent 37 years with the BC Corrections, most recently as Director of the Chilliwack Community Correctional Center. He is survived by his wife Shirlee, daughter Carole (Brian) Horst, son David, granddaughter Wannitta, grandsons Edward and Scott, brother Henry (Hank) & sister-in-law Lily, sister-in-law Shirley A. (Verne), sister-in-law Helen Stuart, brother –in-law Scotty Duncan, brother-in-law Keith & sister-in-law Jo-Ann Duncan as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Services will be held at Salvation Army Church, 46420 Brooks Road, Chilliwack, BC at 1:30 pm on Saturday, February 6, 2010. Donations in memory and honour of John can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, Gideon’s, Heart and Stroke Foundation or your local Salvation Army. Cremation - no interment.
