John Dalton TILSON

January 17, 2005

After a short illness, John Dalton Tilson passed away January 17, 2005. He was born on December 9, 1925 in Rainy River, Ontario, the first child of Dulice Ann Gautier and John Richard Tilson. Don, as he was known in the family, was a quiet, private person, which belied an adventurous spirit. He traveled and worked throughout the provinces from Ontario to the Northwest Territories before finally settling in Vancouver, BC where he met his wife Olive Malhurn.

He worked at various occupations including gold mining and paper mills, before finally retiring from the P&E where he worked in the maintenance department. He retired in 1990.

Don was predeceased by his wife, Olive and brother Jerome. Two brothers, Wallace of Espanola, Ontario and Murray, of Portland Oregon, numerous nephews and nieces survive him.

In keeping with Don’s wishes, no memorial service will be held, though he will always hold a very special place in the memories of family and friends who knew and loved him. Remembrances may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
