Joeyan (Johanna Annabell) MORRISON (nee MacLeod)

Joeyan passed away on March 20, 2005 at Chilliwack General Hospital following a lengthy battle with ovarian cancer.

Joeyan was born in Vancouver, BC, November 10, 1942. Growing up she enjoyed piano, singing in the Gaelic Choir, skating and swimming. After graduating from Fairview School of Commerce, she worked as a secretary for an insurance company and later, Van Waters and Rogers. Following several years at home raising our daughters, she pursued a career as a medical transcriptionist. She worked for Dr. John Fuller, Burrard Orthopaedic Associates, and ran her own business, JM Transcription Services. Outside of work she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, gardening, flower arranging and camping.

Joeyan was predeceased by her parents, Peter and Christina MacLeod, originally from Lewis, Scotland.

She will be greatly missed by her loving family, husband of 41 years, Andy; her daughters, Julie (Aaron) Vanthournout of Calgary, Christina (Bruce) van den Brink of Chilliwack; grandchildren, Melody, Jasmine, Jarrod and Grace. She will also be missed by many cousins and friends in Scotland as well as close friends and associates in BC.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 26th, 2005 at 1:30 pm from the Chapel of Woodlawn Mt. Cheam Funeral Home, 45865 Hocking Ave, Chilliwack, BC. the Rev. Dale Yardy of St. John’s Anglican Church officiating. Interment at Chilliwack Cemeteries will follow the service.

If family or friends so desire, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society (Ovarian Cancer Research) in Joeyan’s name.
