January 22, 1941 - June 30, 2022
Joan Dixon peacefully passed away in the presence of her Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ on June 30, 2022 in Chilliwack at the age of 81. Joan was a loving Wife, Mum, Nana, Sister, Aunt and friend.
Joan was born in Liverpool England on January 22, 1941. She and her family, including her sister Patricia, immigrated to Canada when she was still a young child. In 1962, she met her husband, Robert "Terry" Dixon and married 3 months after their first date on January 25, 1963. Together they had one child in 1970; Tanya (Grant) and one grandchild in 2003; Aleigha.
Joan loved spending time with family and friends. She frequently had a story or joke to share. She enjoyed reading, listening to music, walking in the outdoors, was a volunteer with the Chilliwack Hospital Auxiliary and was always more than willing to help anyone that needed it. She loved being a Nana to Aleigha; baking, playing dress up, singing and reading together were things she always looked forward to.
A Celebration of Life will be scheduled at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Union Gospel Mission on her behalf.
