On Friday, December 22, 2017 God called our beloved Mother and Oma, Tina Thalen home to be with Him in his glory. She was born in Hoogeveen, The Netherlands and immigrated to Canada in 1952.
Predeceased by daughter Tina Taekema in 2017, husband Marinus (Morris) in 2015, son-in-law Dan Haan in 2003, grandson Mark Thalen in 2002 and grandson Ben Thalen in 1982.
Tina and Morris had eight children; Henry, Kathy (Martin) Benjamins, Margaret (Henry) Schuurman, Gerda (Ray) Elgersma, Tina + (Gerry) Taekema, Freda (Dan +) Haan, Dinah (Tony) Bestebroer, Morris (Sandra) Thalen, 42 grandchildren, 162 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
Memorial Service was held Thursday, December 28, 2017 at 1:30 pm at Cornerstone Christian Reformed Church, 9800 McNaught Road, (at Yale Rd.) Chilliwack, B.C.
