James Rowland McDONALD

May 10, 2009

(July 28, 1919 - May 10, 2009)

James Rowland McDonald passed away after a long illness.

James served with the 6th Field, Royal Canadian Engineers during the Second World War. Following the war, he joined the RCAF and spent 10 years in Belgium, France, Germany and Sardinia.

He retired in 1969 and became an avid traveller. He visited 20 countries in and around Europe. Following his retirement he became Snowbird, cruise enthusiast and golfer.

James leaves to mourn his wife Eileen; his two daughters from his first marriage: Jeannette Winters and Sharon Swan; and his sister-in-law, Marg Coulthard; as well as his nieces and nephews.

A 20-year legion member, he will be remembered by his family and friends for his motto, “Enjoy Life”. He certainly did.

There will be no service by his request.

“Goodbye my Friends”
