James Mauchline MURDOCH

James Mauchline Murdoch, late of the City of Chilliwack, passed away on Tuesday, Aug. 12, 2003, at the age of 80 years, surrounded by the loving care of the staff of McIntosh Lodge.

Jim served with the Canadian Army in Europe during the Second World War. The Department of Veteran’s Affairs to be thanked for their services to him in his last years of life.

Returning home, he was eventually ordained in the Presbyterian Church of Canada, then heard the Voice of the Shepherd in the Divine Revelation of Bahá’u’láh, and continued his service to God through the work of that community.

A memorial service is being arranged by the Bahái’s of Chilliwack.

He will be fondly remembered by his many friends at the Stone Soup Book Bazaar which he operated for many years together with his dear friend Julia Griffin.

Interment in Mission, near the resting place of his brother Ian who predeceased him, will take place with the assistance of Woodlawn Mt. Cheam Funeral Home.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers or cards, prayers be offered, and, if any are so moved, donations be made in his name and honour to the charity of your choice.
