Jim passed away at Heritage Village Nursing Home on April 13, 2020. Born in Halifax, N.S. he was the son of the late Camille Frances and Mary Clare Gould.
He is survived by his wife Kay of 64 years; daughter Thecla (Stephen) Fladhamer, Terrace,B.C.; granddaughters; Shyla, Thecla, Stephanie, Chelsea, and Bradie; eleven great-grandchildren, brother William, Dartmouth, N.S and sister Anne Hamilton, Halifax, N.S.; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by son Scott, sisters Camilla (in infancy) and Barbara; brothers Frank and Cyril. While in the military Jim was posted to Camp Borden, Greenwood, Ottawa, Washington, D.C., Chilliwack, Victoria, and Vancouver.
After retiring from the military Jim worked at Mountain Institution and as a commissionaire at the former CFB Chilliwack. The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Heritage Village for the care and kindness shown to Jim while he was living at their facility. Cremation has taken place. No service by request.
