September 1, 1937 - December 4, 2018
Born in Vancouver, BC., third child and first son of Frank Willard Bodner and Sarah Margaret Rose Murphy, James passed in Chilliwack, BC. after a short illness.
He was an active contributor to his church and a strong shoulder providing support for others. He was a humble man who lived a Christian life by example, and an exemplary role model for the whole family, caring for others, helping when able and always ready to give advice or support as appropriate.
James was predeceased by his three sisters and his first wife, Jacqueline Frances Simpkin and is survived by his beloved wife of 18 years, Louise McConnell and his younger brother Jack. He leaves seven children, twenty grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren and a large extended family.
He will be sorely missed for his humour, heart and sage advice.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Chilliwack Fish & Game Club, 48685 Chilliwack Lake Rd, on Sunday December 16th at 1330 hours.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
