Jim Haskell passed away on 4 July 2008 at the Chilliwack Hospital after a long courageous struggle for survival. He leaves to mourn his loss his loving partner Edna, sons Perry and Trevor, daughter Sandie (John) Wood, grandsons Quinn and John; brother Albert , sisters Faye Romanchuk and Patricia McGregor; and numerous nieces and nephews. Jim was raised in the farming community of Dewberry Alberta and moved to the West Coast about 1973. He retired to the Chilliwack area in 1993 and despite a respiratory illness was active in the community affairs. There will be a gathering for the family and friends at the Chilliwack Seniors Centre located at 9400 College Street on the 19th of July 2008 from 2-4 pm. A short program will take place at 2:30 pm. The family wishes to express their appreciation to the staff of the ICU of Chilliwack Hospital and the CCU of Burnaby Hospital. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Chilliwack Seniors Centre.
