James Gordon "James" Gleghorn

August 12, 1949 - August 9, 2019
It is with a heavy heart we announce the passing of Jim Gleghorn; a loving and caring husband, Dad, Papa, brother and uncle.
Jim was born in New Westminster and grew up in Surrey. He met the love of his life, Irene and they married six months later on August 22, 1970. They absolutely cherished the 49 years they were able to share together.
Jim and Irene had two beautiful children, Jim Gleghorn Jr. (Darlene) and Cindy Jewell (Douglas), along with two beautiful grandchildren, Madison Jewell and Adam Jewell.
Jim spent his career operating excavators and other heavy equipment on various jobs throughout BC; from the Queen Charlotte Islands to Bella Coola to the Carmanah Valley on Vancouver Island. He always loved a challenge. He spent the final five years of his career working with Jake's Construction on various projects.
Jim was a warrior to the end, struggling daily with his cancer. Thank you to Dr. M. Dodds and staff and to the 'Palliative Care At Home' team for their kindness and support.
Jim will be deeply missed. We love you always and forever, to infinity and beyond.
No funeral services, as per Jim's request.
Celebration of Life to be held Saturday, August 24, 2019, 1 pm to 4 pm, Chilliwack Mt Cheam Lion's Club, 45580 Spadina Ave., Chilliwack, BC
