James George Skalicky

September 11, 1955 - March 20, 2022
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of James George Skalicky on March 20th, 2022.
James was born in Saskatchewan, however spent almost all of his 66 years in Chilliwack, B.C. A skilled woodworker for more than four decades, James hand crafted cabinetry and other custom fixtures for the local home and business market. James participated in several sports including curling, softball and skiing. His passion was bike touring with trips from Chilliwack to the west coast of Vancouver Island, Chilliwack to Los Angles, Chilliwack to Calgary, plus a tour of B.C. which took him to Prince Rupert and back. During the winter of 1991/92 he completed a tour from Puerto Vallarta, Mexico to San Diego, California.
James is predeceased by parents Marian and Walter Skalicky and siblings Dianne Young & Bernard Skalicky, nephews Garry and Dale. He is survived by siblings: Mervin Skalicky and wife Francine, Maria McGann, Monica Young and Husband Ted, Anthony Skalicky and wife Glenys, Bernadette Schultheiss and husband Gerd. Nephews and Nieces': Jason, Dan, Joanne, Kevin, Michael, Bill, Jeff, Jennifer, Justin and Sarah. Great nephew's and Niece's: Jaspaul, Jaslynn, Jas, Noah, Mariah, Adam, Luc, Kolby, Megan, Skylar, Alexis, Taiya, Dylan, Peyton, Sophia, and Jake.
A Celebration of Life for James will be held at Henderson's Funeral Home - Memorial Tea Room, 45901 Victoria Avenue, Chilliwack, B.C. at 11:00am on Saturday, April 23rd, 2022.
