Jim passed away on Friday May 08 2020 at Chilliwack General Hospital. Jim was 84 years old.
Jim was born in Prince Albert Saskatchewan. In 1937 the family moved to Vancouver. Jim spent most of his youth in Britannia Beach, where he found his love of the outdoors.
Jim spent many years in the automotive trade as a mechanic and finally as a shop instructor at WCB.
Jim married Susan, the love of his life on May 23, 1987. Upon retiring in 1998 they moved to their property in 100 Mile House, where they spent 13 wonderful years enjoying the peace and serenity of the Cariboo.
Whether it was mountain climbing, hunting, fishing, karate or working his way across Canada, Jim enjoyed every minute of it and had a wonderful and full life.
Jim is survived by his loving family, wife Susan, stepsons Scott (Sharon), Chris. Cherished grandchildren Megan, Jessica, and Jace. Brother Roy (Wendy) and Stepdaughter Wendi and her daughter Jamie.
Family was everything to Jim, and he was the happiest when spending time with them.
Jim enjoyed his morning walks along the Rotary trail, meeting fellow walkers and admiring the view.
