“Jim”

Jim passed away peacefully at heritage Village, Chilliwack, BC on August 27, 2009. He was 78 years old.

He was sadly predeceased by his wife Gerry; parents Mae and Bert; sister Mae Adams; brother-in-law Bill Adams; niece Pat Adams and sister Ruth Lyons.

Lovingly remembered by daughter Laurie (Charlie) Snow; grandson, Chris (Lisa), great-grandsons, Nicholas and Alexander; son, Bud; grandson, Jeremy (Vikki); great-grandsons Conner and Parker; grandsons Matthew and Michael; daughter, Brenda (Brad Rendall); grandchildren, Andrea and James.

Memories will be cherished by sisters, Pat (Ralph) Barnes and Dot (Len) Elder, as well as brother in law Don Lyons. He will be fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews.

Jim had a long, distinguished career in the Air Force, serving extensively in Europe and retiring with the rank of Chief Warrant Officer in 1977. He continued with a second career as an RCMP guard at the Chilliwack Detachment until retirement at age 65.

He was a gentle, caring and considerate man who loved his family, his garden and his pets. Jim will be remembered by friends and colleagues for his quiet good humour.

The family wishes to thank the caring staff at Heritage Village for their dedication in making his last year comfortable and dignified.

Jim requested no service but he will be forever remembered in our hearts and his name will be added to his wife’s on the memorial bench at Minter Gardens.
