August 30, 1960 - June 1, 2021
With great sadness we say goodbye to Jim who passed away peacefully at his home Tuesday June 1 at the age of 60. He was an incredible person who had great courage, ambition and confidence.
Jim was born in Ottawa into an Air Force family moving to Richmond, Winnipeg and finally Chilliwack. There he attended Little Mountain Elementary, Chilliwack Secondary and then to B.C.I.T. where he got his welding ticket.
Jim later re-attended B.C.I.T. graduating as a Baker. He baked for smaller companies including his family business where he was the glue that kept it together. James spent the remainder of his career baking for Save On Foods. He always looked forward to going to work.
Jim enjoyed playing pool, puzzles, crib, bungee jumping, white water rafting and road trips visiting friends and relatives. One of his highlights was playing in a crib tournament with his father where he achieved the perfect 29 crib hand.
Jim was blessed with many aunts, uncles and cousins. He loved spending time with his niece and nephew whom he adored. Jim's face would light up every time he saw a loved one. He will always be remembered for his infectious smile and his kind and compassionate spirit.
Jim is predeceased by his father (Clare) and mother (Maria). He is survived by his brother Rick (Kathy) niece Kristen, nephew Cam (Aprilynn) and his brother Dave.
There will be no service at this time. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to the B.C. Heart and Stroke foundation.
