James Alfred McCONNELL

April 26, 2003

James Alfred McConnell Jr. (Toby) aged 30, passed away on April 26, 2003 at St. Paul’s Hospital in Vancouver.

James is survived by his parents, Jim and Lillian McConnell of Chilliwack; his sisters, Flora Lorteau (Chad) of Chilliwack, and Connie McConnell (Scott) of Victoria; nephews, Kyle, David, Nolan, and Rhylan; niece Zoe; his Gramma Bunny; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. James also leaves behind his much-loved son Matthew McConnell (aged eight); and Matthew’s mom, Elaine.

James was predeceased by his Gramma and Grampa McConnell, and Gramma and Grampa Reed.

James was born on November 19, 1972, the third child and beloved son to Jim and Lillian.

On September 17, 1994 James was the happy recipient of a new heart and we will be forever grateful for the wonderful eight-and-one-half years that this new heart gave our son, brother, and friend. James had a love for life and a gentle nature that we will always miss and always remember. He loved to coach Matthew’s baseball team, watch his son play hockey, hang out with his friends, and cheer on his beloved Canucks! James could always make you laugh, even when he was in pain. James, we will miss you and love you for always.

Funeral services were held on Wednesday, Apr. 30, 2003 at Henderson’s Funeral Home.

His sister Connie McConnell delivered the euology.
