1931-2024 ~ He was one of 4 children born in Surtchin, Serbia, Yoguslavia. The war years were very difficult escaping from the country by horse and buggy to Austria. He learned his trade in mechanics in Gols, Austria.

In 1955 Jake emigrated to Canada. Two years later his mother, grandmother and younger brother were brought to Canada since his sister and other brother had come two years earlier.

Jake worked in many types of construction and mechanics, even having a railroad company.

Early morning at McDonalds with the boys was greatly enjoyed. Jake's motto was "to put people to work".

He loved his Mercedes cars over the years, but they had to be diesel. Cultus Lake Holiday Park was a great relaxation get away which he called Hawaii.

Jake is survived by his loving wife Jean, son Robert (wife Bonnie) daughters Theresa (husband David) and Jennifer (husband Sheldon), nine grandchildren and one great grandchild.

We shall miss him greatly. He is in a better place now. There will not be a funeral service.
