Jacqueline Ruth (Poff) Giffin passed away on May 30, 2012 at Abbotsford, BC at the age of 97 years.
She was born in Stanberry MO, Gentry County.
Jackie came to Canada in the early 1900’s with her parents. In February 1934 she married Hugh Green and resided in Fort William, ON. She later moved to BC in the early 1950’s and has been here since.
Jackie is survived by three daughters; Lois Morris, of Tacoma, Washington, Christina (Tina) Meagher (Terry Stott) of Comox, BC, and Maureen Austin of Jackson, Mississippi. One granddaughter Jennifer Morris; grandson: Sam Meagher; four great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren and also a sister-in-law Margaret Poff, a niece and nephew all of Winnipeg, MB.
She was predeceased by her husbands, son David (infant), two grandchildren and brother Robert.
A Memorial will be held on Thursday, August 16, 2012, 11:00 AM from the Chilliwack Seventh-Day Adventist Church on 46024 Riverside Dr. Chilliwack.
A viewing for family and friends will be held on Friday, June 15, 2012 from 5:00 – 6:30 pm, at Henderson’s Funeral Home in Chilliwack.
