May 14, 1927 - October 8, 2019
Co was born May 14, 1927 in Achterberg, Holland. She was thirteen years old when World War 2 started. In 1948 she married Albertus Roseboom and moved to his hometown of Ede where they had a small dairy farm. Together they had three children, Celia, Bill and Ceel.
In 1967, the family decided to immigrate to Canada and they settled in Chilliwack, BC, where again they started farming. Co always worked very hard, not only on the farm but also went out and cleaned houses.
Co loved life and kept herself busy with her many hobbies. She was an expert needle worker (knitting, crochet, cross-stitch) and it gave her great joy to make things for her family. She was also an avid gardener, always growing her own vegetables and was a member of Minter Gardens for many years. She loved to travel and took many bus trips with Jackson Tours. She also loved to read.
In 2017, she moved to Carefree Manor, a seniors home, in 100 Mile House, BC, and most recently to Fisher Place, where she passed away on October 8, 2019. The family is very thankful for the wonderful care she received from the staff in both facilities. A special thank you to Dr. Vithalal for her kindness and care of Co over the last two years .
Co was predeceased by her parents, eight siblings and in 1990 by her husband Albertus Roseboom. She is survived by her three children Celia (Joe) Visscher, Bill (Pam) Roseboom and Ceel (Paula) Roseboom, nine grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
She was laid to rest at the 100 Mile House Municipal Cemetery with Bruce Wilcox officiating.
We will miss her.
