Jacob Martin Koop passed away into the presence of his Lord and Saviour December 18, 2017 at the age of 92.
He was born in Zagradovka, Russia September 12, 1925 to Abraham and Sarah Koop who came to Canada when Jacob was a year old. The family settled in Blumenhof, SK and later Chilliwack BC in 1945, where he met and married Agnes Dirks. They lived on Fairfield Island where Jacob made a living as a diary farmer.
He is survived by his daughters Kris (Daryl Isaac), Carol (Rod Isaac), son Dale Koop, sister Helen (Clarence Fast), his brother John (Laura) Koop), seven grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
He is predeceased by his parents Abraham and Sarah Koop, brothers Abe and Pete Koop, sisters Anne and Sarah Koop, loving wife, Agnes, daughter Phyllis Popowich, infant son Wesley, and great grandson James "Nugget" Williams.
A Celebration of life tea will be held on Tuesday, February 20, 2:00 pm at the Chilliwack Alliance Church, 8700 Young Rd., Chilliwack.
