BERGEN Jacob Isaac. April 13, 1911 - Aug 20, 2013. Jacob Bergen passed away peacefully in his sleep on Aug 20, 2013 at the Tabor Home in Abbotsford at the age of 102 and 5 months in the presence of his Lord and Savior. He trusted in Jesus throughout his life and also in death. Born in Russia, the family joined a large group of Mennonites emigrating to Canada. They first settled in Holland, Manitoba where he married Agnes Friesen on July 19, 1942. Then moving to Greendale on a small farm on Adams Rd where they raised their 5 children. They attended the Greendale MB church where they were actively involved, then retiring in Clearbrook. Left to cherish his memory are his children Ted, Ernie, Helen, Peter, Walter, 10 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. He is together with our Mother and Grandmother and we know that they are both at peace.
The family gives a special thank-you to the staff at the Tabor Home for their kindness and special care they gave to Jacob in his last years.
