Ken passed away peacefully in Chilliwack Hospital on Saturday, January 24, 2009 at the age of 88.
Ken was a descendant of Chilliwack pioneers and lived his whole life in the farmhouse that was built by his parents in 1891.
Ken was a devoted husband to Phyllis, his wife of 60 years, and together they embraced life on the farm.
After an early retirement they travelled the world but found the greatest joy in touring the back roads of B.C. with a thermos of coffee and two folding chairs.
For many years Ken has been a member of the Hole in the Wall and was always entertained by the antics and camaraderie of fellow members.
Ken is predeceased by his wife Phyllis and son Bill and will be missed by daughter Shirley (Peter), son Neil (Linda), and grandchildren Jared, Leah, Jonathan, Allan, and sister Muriel.
Funeral Service will be held on Friday, January 30th, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. from the Chapel of Henderson’s Funeral Home. Reception to follow. Burial to take place at Chilliwack Cemeteries.
