It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Alex on December 13, 2004.
Alex was born in Chilliwack on March 16, 1931 and lived in this area most of his life. He was a long-time employee of Emil Anderson Construction until his retirement in 1990.
"The Lion" loved to fish and was known by many on both the Fraser and Vedder Rivers. A passion for baseball and a Dodger fan by heart, Alex also enjoyed the outdoors. He loved to garden and was especially proud of his yard. Alex was a strong family man and will be sorely missed by his family and friends and his furry companion "Cookie".
Alex is survived by his wife of 53 years Betty, and three sons Wayne, Gary (Trish) Nichols and Alan, brother Don (Joan) Nichols of Hope and sisters Rhoda Dennis, Viola (Ray) Vickerson of Chilliwack.
A private family celebration of Alex's life will be held. If friends so desire, donations in his memory may be made to the Centre for Integrated Healing or the Canadian Cancer Society.
