May 31, 1930 - June 19, 2025

Born in Timaru, New Zealand, Ivan travelled through England and Europe, eventually settling in Toronto where he married a Canadian. He taught school and pursued his hobby as a pilot. In 1964 he began 15 years of mission work in Bolivia, working as an educator and pilot. After returning to Canada in 1979, Ivan joined the leadership of the Trinity Western Aviation program. He inspired young pilots to excellence in aviation and to live with integrity and faith. During his retirement, he continued his love of music in the community and became known internationally for designing scale model planes.

He is survived by 2 daughters, Joan (Les) and Elaine (Wes), his wife Lucy and her 3 children, Donald, Bonita and Roger, his 9 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
