(nee Hawkins)

It is with great sadness that the family of Isobel Harman Quinn announce her death on June 20th, 2010 at the age of 94.

She was predeceased by her husband Edward Quinn in 1986 and her two brothers Joe and Bill, and one sister Marnie.

Isobel was born and raised in Vancouver. She spent many happy years with her friends at the Jericho Tennis Club where her parents had been founding members.

After her marriage, she and Ed moved to New Westminster and then Burnaby, where they raised their sons.

In 1993 she moved to Chilliwack to be near family, residing first at the Birchwood and then the Waverly Care Center.

Isobel cherished all the wonderful friends she made in Chilliwack, expanding her family to include many more “almost” daughters, sons and grandchildren.

Isobel will be missed and lovingly remembered by her family – Alan and Isabel, Murray and Maureen, and beloved grandchildren Matthew (Fiona), Hillary, David (Kelly), Jeffrey (Kristy). She will also be missed by her lifelong friend, Jean Brackenridge.

The family would like to thank all those who have been involved in her care with special thanks to all the staff at The Waverly for their loving and compassionate care.

A private family gathering will be held in celebration of her life at a later date.

For those who wish, a donation in her memory could be made to a charity of your choice.
