It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Isabelle O’Shea, our beloved mother and mother-in-law. She passed away October 12, 2007 at the age of 86. She was born April 27, 1921 in Adolphustown, Ontario.

She lived in the Nappanee/Kingston area for many years. She married Danny O’Shea, the love of her life, who was in the armed forces. Upon his medical retirement they moved to Vancouver, B.C. After Danny passed away, she retired and moved to Chilliwack to be near her son, James Baldwin.

She spent a lot of time volunteering in the community at various places. When she volunteered at Eden Rest Home she stayed there for 14 years, as she was a very caring person. Her companion of many years, Art Mediaa of the Sons of Norway, became a resident there and she became very involved at the Eden Rest Home, caring for him and many other residents. She took patients to doctor appointments, looked after many resident activities, and was responsible for the small store on the premises. She did this right up to the day she had her first stroke on Christmas Eve 2002. She has been living in ECU (Bradley Center) since that time.

She was predeceased by her husband Danny O’Shea, her daughter Carol Ann Warren, her mother and father Kate and Gerald Pollard, her sister Betty, and companion Art Mediaa.

Isabelle is survived by her two sons James (Donna) and Walter (Nargis), her brother Jim, her sisters Ruth, Mildred, Barb, and Joan, grandchildren Rob, Karen, Keith, great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Isabelle’s contagious smile and sparkling eyes will always be lovingly remembered by her family and friends.

A very special thank you to Dr. Bull, and the nurses and care aides at the Bradley Center for their caring support.

At Isabelle’s request, after cremation, there will be a private family Celebration of Life.

Should family or friends so desire, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation in memory of Isabelle.
