Mavis passed away on January 22, 2012 at the age of 75 years with loved ones by her side. Born in Bankend, Sk, on March 27, 1936, Mavis lived most of her life with her parents.
When they moved into Menno Home nursing facility in Abbotsford, Mavis made the move as well. She made one last move into Cascade Lodge in Chilliwack, BC to be closer to her sister. Mavis was an avid reader for as long as she was able and always had a smile for whoever passed by. She loved to raise her voice in song and sing praise to her Lord and Saviour.
Mavis is predeceased by her parents, Henry and Anna Wiebe as well as sisters, Viola Wiebe and Josephine (John) Rempel. Her sisters, Grace (Jack) Welsh of Texas, USA and Iris (John) Lemky of Chilliwack remain to mourn her loss, as well as nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Mavis’ life will be held on Monday, January 30, 2012 at 11:00 am in the Chapel of Henderson’s Funeral Home, 45901 Victoria Ave., Chilliwack, BC
