Isabel Mae Miller (nee Souter) passed away on Saturday, September 28, 2013 in Chilliwack, BC at the age of 84 years. She was born November 8, 1928 in Drumheller, Alberta. Isabel is survived by her husband Raymond; children, Barbara (Peter) Arsenault, Sandy Miller (Gerry Sepass), Stephanie Henry (Patrick Johnson) and Penny Henry (Todd Commodore); grandchildren, Craig Miller (Jordan Pattie), Jennifer Miller (Joshua Pardy), Dason Commodore, Sandra( Ivan) Malloway, Michael (Twyla) Edmonds, Carina Johnson, Daphne Johnson and Candice Johnson. She will also be lovingly remembered by her many great grandchildren, her brothers Gordon and Donald Souter and many extended family members and friends. Isabel is predeceased by her parents, Alexander and Isabella Souter, her brothers, William, Alexander and Albert and sisters, Ethel Mackie and Helen Souter.
Isabel was a resident of Chilliwack for 58 years. She was employed as a bookkeeper with Mertin GM (formerly Buchanan GM) for 37 years. Isabel was dedicated to her family and enjoyed her visits with her nieces and nephews. She enjoyed attending First Nations Traditional Ceremonies, she loved to garden, travel with family and friends. Being of Scottish heritage, she managed to enjoy three visits to Scotland. Her favourite music was Scottish singers, pipers and pipe and drum bands, but she also enjoyed country music as well.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 5, 2013 at 3:00 pm in the Chapel of Henderson's Funeral Home, 45901 Victoria Ave. Chilliwack.
