Iris Brooke Pegoraro passed away peacefully at Chilliwack General Hospital on Sunday, May 13, 2007 after dealing courageously with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease for the past eight years.
The love that was in Mom’s heart lives on in her children Barbara Cook (Philip) London On, Pat Bickerton Thunder Bay On, Michael Pegoraro (Irene) Summerland BC, Jeffrey Pegoraro (Donna) Chilliwack BC, and Kathy Simoneaux (Dave) Conroe Texas. Grandchildren Jennifer and Justin, Angela and Jason, Victoria, Kayla and Miranda. Great grandchildren Cody, Mason, and Aubrey.
Predeceased by parents
Lillian and Earnest Kent, Husbands George Foster in 1955 and Paul Pegoraro in 2004 and uncle George Brooke.
Mom was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba on October 30, 1920. A long time employee of Sears Thunder Bay she was an active member of the volunteer community.
After retiring to Chilliwack in 1993 Mom continued her volunteer activities.
She was a member of the Parish Council of St John’s Anglican Church where she devoted her time to helping others.
Service for Iris Pegoraro will be held Friday May 18, 2007 at 11:00am at St. John’s Anglican Church, 46098 Higginson Road, Chilliwack.
