Inez Weiss

Inez Weiss passed away January 26, 2017 in Edmonton Alberta at age 99 years. She was born May 14, 1917 at Hanna, Alberta. Inez is survived by brother Richard Harris of Indiana, children Marilyne Erickson of Abbotsford, BC, Loretta (Harland Hendrickson) of Edmonton, Nelson McRae (JoAnne) of Edmonton, Linda McRae of Cloverdale, BC, Floyd McRae (Rita) of Okanagan Falls, BC, Dawne Manley (Daryl Storzuk) of Surrey, BC; stepchildren, Brett Weiss of Edmonton, Teresa Borowitz of Edmonton and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her former husband Grayden McRae, her husband William Godheart Weiss, sisters Shirley Ashby, Elsie Jamieson, brother Lloyd Harris, and stepdaughter Yvonne Diebel. Inez was raised on a farm near Hanna, Alberta, and lived most of her adult life in cities, Edmonton and Vancouver vicinity. She worked in direct sales for many years providing for her children. In 1964 she married Bill Weiss with whom she enjoyed family, grandchildren and retirement. From an early age, Inez was a woman of faith and in the last years she longed to be with her Lord & Saviour Jesus Christ. A visitation for family and friends will be held on Saturday, February 4 at 10:00 AM at Abundant Life Church, 7676 Wagner Road, Edmonton. Funeral service will start at 11:00 AM. Pastor Eve Basset officiating. A graveside service is planned for February 10 at 10:30 AM at Valleyview Cemetery, Agassiz, BC. If desired, memorial donations may be made to World Mission Continuum Society, directly or through Abundant Life Church.
