Ida Eleanor Tecklenburg, passed away peacefully on Nov. 23, 2003 at Hawthorne Care Centre in Port Coquitlam. Born Nov. 24, 1922 in Neudorf, SK, Ida moved to Chilliwack, B.C. after WWII to join her husband Art and where they were long-time residents.
Predeceased by her husband Arthur, in 2000, Ida is survived by her loving family, daughters: Diane (Ron) Exley of Port Coquitlam, and Sandra (Gary) Price of Nelson; and son, Wayne (Waltraud) of Surrey; one sister, Frieda Lancaster of Port Coquitlam; and two brothers: Otto Parno of Burlington, ON, and Al Parno of Surrey, B.C.; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren..
Funeral Services will be held at Burkeview Family Funeral Care, 1340 Dominion Ave., Port Coquitlam at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 1, 2003.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Multiple Sclerosis Society of B.C. would be greatly appreciated.
The family extends special thanks to the nurses and staff at Hawthorne Care Centre for the kindness shown during the past eight years.
