It is with a tremendous sense of sadness that we announce the passing of our wife, mother, grandmother on December 1st, 2006, Hilda Maretzki (nee Hoff) to be forever in the presence of her Lord Jesus Christ.
Hilda was born on December 14, 1931 in Reinfeld, Russia and immigrated to Canada with her family in 1948, settling in Morris, Manitoba. She met her husband Paul in Winnipeg and was married on May 19, 1956.
She was predeceased by her sister Bertha; and is survived by her loving husband Paul, son Herb (Theresa), daughter Dorothy (Arnie) and son John (Linda), grandchildren Chris, Seth, Michael, Kyle, Kevin and Jacqueline, sisters Mary and Lydia (Nelson), brother Nick, many nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
We wish to honour Hilda and celebrate her life on Saturday, December 9, 2006. Viewing and visitation on Friday, December 8, 2006 at 8 PM. Graveside service on Saturday, December 9, 2006 at 2 PM, followed by a memorial service at 2:30 PM at Valley View Funeral Home - 14660 - 72nd Ave., Surrey.
