passed away peacefully to be with her Lord on June 2, 2006 at the age of 92. Born May 4, 1914, she emigrated to Chilliwack B.C. from Germany in 1951 with her two young children. She was predeceased by three husbands, Rudolph, Peter, and most recently Gottlieb, son Gus, granddaughter, Amanda, sister, Lilli, and brothers Helmut, Hubert and Herbert. Herta will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Lily; daughter-in-law, Barbara; granddaughter, Loralie; sister, Hulda; brother, Erhold (Erna); nieces and nephews, Anita (Reid), Alfred (Kim), Harry (Karen), Trudy, Ursula (Peter), Ingrid, Heidi (Sieg), Erika (Gerhard), Norbert, and their families, as well as her cousins and many friends. Very special thanks are extended to Auntie Hulda, who tirelessly devoted countless hours to keeping Mom company and helping her during her years in the extended care unit. Many thanks as well to the ECU staff at Chilliwack General Hospital for their kind care.
A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, June 9, 2006 at 1:30 pm at the Chapel of Woodlawn Mt. Cheam Funeral Home 45865 Hocking Ave, Chilliwack; Pastor Nathan Hewitt officiating. A viewing for family and friends will be held before the service on Friday, June 9, 2006 from 12:30 to 1:30 pm. Interment at Chilliwack Cemetery will follow the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in her name to the Alzheimer’s Society of B.C.
