Herman Warnke went to be with the Lord on November 26, 2016 at Cascade Hospice at the age of 86 years. Herman was born April 18, 1930 in Wetaskiwin, Alberta to Gottlieb and Wilhelmina Warnke. He married Erna Krieger on October 29, 1954 and moved to Chilliwack, BC in 1959, where they raised their family. Herman worked at Fraser Valley Foods until he joined Amigo Building Supplies, and retired from there in 1992. He was an active member of the Atchelitz Thresherman Association. The family attended First Avenue Christian Assembly and Central Pentecostal Church over the past 50 years. He lived his life to the fullest with Erna, travelling and spending time with his children and grandchildren. Herman is lovingly remembered by his wife Erna Warnke, his children Doug (Patty) Warnke and Terry Krenz, his grandchildren Daniel and Kitty Krenz, Kodie Krenz, Dylan Krenz and Robyn Warnke, his sister Alice (Tom) McKay, many nieces, nephews and adopted grandchildren. He was predeceased by Mom and Dad Warnke, 5 sisters, 9 brothers and son-in-law David Krenz. A Viewing will be held on Saturday, December 3 at 10:00 am at Woodlawn Mt Cheam Funeral Home. A Graveside Service will follow at 11:30 am at Vedder View Gardens Cemetery on Watson Road. The Funeral Service will follow at 1:00 pm at Woodlawn Mt Cheam Funeral Home.
