It is with great sadness that we announce the pasÂsing of our dearly beloved husband, father and opa, Hendrik deLooff on Sunday, November 19th, 2006 at the age of 66 years, in the Chilliwack General Hospital. Henk was born October 23, 1940 in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. He immigrated to Canada with his wife and 4 children in 1978 and in 1980 they settled in Chilliwack with 2 more children. Henk served faithfully as a deacon in the Netherlands Reformed Congregation for 22 years. He loved the Lord and to be in His service was Henks great joy. He also enjoyed his family and spending time with them. For the last 25 years Henk worked as a millwright at Westform Metal.
Henk will be sadly missed by his wife Lynda; children - Mike and Ann deLooff (Justin, Zachary, Samuel, Damaris, Anna), Monique and Ron Sterkenburg (Kristopher, Tyler, Jessica, Melinda, Emma), Esther and John Wisse (Melissa, Rachel, Mitchell, Savannah, Stefany), Miriam and Greg Vandenbrink (Nickolas), Alice and Tom Jansen (Austin, Jayden) David deLooff and Tiffany Cazander; brothers in the Netherlands Jan (Rina), Cor (Marja), Arie (Marry); all family in Canada and in the Netherlands. A special thank you to brother and sister-in-law Gert and Elly Kuipers and Rev P. van Ruitenburg for all the help and support.
A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, November 24th, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. at the Bethel Netherlands Reformed Congregation. Rev. P. van Ruitenburg officiating.
