Harvey Donald EPP

Mr. Harvey Donald Epp was called home to be with his Lord on Thursday, Mar. 11, 2004 at the age of 66 years.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Mary (nee Ewert); his son Warren (Shelly) Epp of Surrey; his daughter Heather (Stephen) Purvis of Vernon; his grandsons, Jeremy, Benjamin and Nicholas Purvis; his brother Ken (Darlene) Epp of Abbotsford; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

Harvey was born on April 18, 1937 in Hepburn, Sask. He moved to Chilliwack when he was young, and spent most of his youth and early adult years there. On March 18, 1961 he married Mary Ewert at the Mennonite Conference Church in Sardis.

Harvey had been a resident of Vernon since 1974, was a true hockey fan and an avid golfer. He was a provincial government employee for over 30 years, was a past longtime member of the Lions Club, and was active in First Baptist Church.

The funeral service will be held at First Baptist Church, 1406-32nd Ave., Vernon on Wednesday, mar. 17, 2004 at 1:30 p.m., with Reverend Karl Janzen officiating. Interment will follow in the Pleasant Valley Cemetery.

As an expression of sympathy, those who wish to do so may send donations in memory of Harvey to the Vernon Lions Club, designated for Camperships at Camp Winfield, P.O. Box 730, Vernon, B.C. V1T 6M6.
