June 27, 1943 - December 26, 2024
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Harry Derksen on December 26, 2024.
Dad was born June 27, 1943, in Yarrow, BC where he lived his entire 81 years.
He was predeceased by his parents, Henry and Margaret Derksen.
He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Freda (nee Janzen), his sons Ken (Tracy) and
Scott (Kama), his 8 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Also left behind are 3 sisters,
Viola (Ben), Betty, and Leona (George), many cousins and other family and friends.
Dad was the strong silent type and lead by example. His priority was always his family, but he also enjoyed travelling the world with his wife, and spending time with their friends.
In his youth, Dad was fond of horses, motorcycles and spending summer days at Cultus Lake.
No funeral by request.
