Harold Skea Pearson passed away at his residence on April 22, 2012, just two days shy of his 87th birthday.

Harold was the youngest son of Clifford and Catherine (Kate) Pearson and lived his whole life in Sardis. Until moving to Chilliwack Lifestyles about a year ago, Harold had lived nearly his whole life on the same street in Sardis, growing up in one house on the street and living in two others on the same street after he was married. He worked at Pearson’s General Store in Sardis before running his own business, Sardis Hardware, for 28 years. He then worked for the provincial government at the weigh scales in Laidlaw for 10 years before retiring.

Harold was a volunteer fireman for 32 years at the Sardis Firehall. He loved fishing the Vedder and Fraser Rivers, as well as spending time at Cultus Lake. He was an avid sports fan, loved hockey and football, and watched the final Canucks game on April 22nd.

He is survived by his wife of nearly 60 years, Dot, his daughter, Jill, and his son, Jay.
