Hank DeGagne was born December 31, 1930 in Cadillac, Saskatchewan. He was called home to the Lord on Saturday March 29, 2008 in Chilliwack B.C.

Hank is survived by his loving wife of 56 years Thelma (nee: Peterson); his three sons: David (Pam), Don (Heidi), Cam (Debby); his grandchildren: Jennifer (Nathan), Derek, Randi (Kyle), Janelle, Danielle and Brittany, four great-grandchildren Austin & Brooklyn Dueck, and Carter & Seth Prosnick; his four brothers: Alex, Ray, Ernest and Luke and his sister Fern.

Hank was predeceased by his father Edmond Degagne and mother Lucienne (Gerard) DeGagne and sister Rita Azaranski.

Hank attended school in Ponteix, Saskatchewan.

He was a member of Rotary and Knights of Columbus. He worked for Burnco Cement Contractors in Calgary, Alberta. Framing, Carpentry and farming in Athabasca, Alberta and in the past 42 years was a building contractor with Cambrian Industries, Landlord Woodbine Developments Townhouses and a partnership in Workwear World Retailer.

The Funeral Mass will be held, Friday April 4, 2008 at 10:30 AM at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 8909 Mary St. Chilliwack, B.C.

Prayers will be held at St. Mary’s Catholic Church on Thursday April 3, 2008 at 7:00 PM. Fr. Justin Huang Celebrant.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Heart & Kidney Foundation in Hank’s name.
