It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Grant Edward Heppner.

He died Dec. 5, 2008 at age 47.  He is survived by his son, Dylan; daughter, Jessica; wife, Karen and step-son Brandon.  He also leaves behind parents, Edward and Viola; brother, Jordan; sister, Kathryn; brother-in-law, Jerrod (Jake); and nephews Kaden and Kory.

He was born in Chilliwack, B. C. on May 26, 1961.  He grew up in Chilliwack and Maple Ridge, then settled down in Sardis to run the family trucking company. His adult years were completely devoted to his family.  His love and enthusiasm for life was evident in all he did.  He took such pride in watching his son Dylan play hockey, his daughter Jessica figure skate, showing his vintage Mustang, camping at Cultus Lake, and entertaining at his backyard tiki bar.

His sudden loss has left a great void in everyone he touched. His charming wit and smile will be sorely missed. He worked hard and selflessly to give his family the good life they deserved. As we look back on Grant’s life, we will celebrate it as he did, and mourn the unfulfilled as we look forward.

Grant, we love you, your memory will keep us strong.

Services will be held at Woodlawn Mt. Cheam Funeral Home, 45865 Hocking Ave., Chilliwack, BC, on Friday, Dec. 12, 2008 at 11:00 am. Visitation for family and friends will be held at 10:30 am.
