The peaceful passing of Grace Sloat took place amongst caring staff at 10:00pm on Saturday, Aug 12, 2012.
Grace was an active and well loved resident of Chilliwack living with husband Norman on Second Ave. She lived among neighbours who were like family.
She was born in Kelliher, SK, as one of seven children but is only survived by her sister Betty Samuelson.
Although Grace was ill for several years she was regularly and daily attended by daughters, Carol Sloat and Sandy Wilhelm. What was a long period of time turned into a strong loving family bond which will be cherished by both girls forever.
Deeply missing her will be many grandchildren, great grandchildren and sons Dwayne and Sam.
Arrangements for a memorial gathering will be announced in this paper soon.
Burial will take place at 11:00am, Wed., Aug. 22 at Little Mountain Cemetery. Living memorial for Grace Sloat will be held at the home of Carol Sloat, 9605 Corbould St, on Sept 1, between 1-3pm.
