Aug 5, 1923 - May 10, 2018
Gottfried (Fred) Wegenast passed into the presence of his Lord May 10, 2018 at the age of 94. Fred was born Aug 5, 1923 in Beresina, Bessarabia. He came to Chilliwack from Germany in 1951 and resided in both Chilliwack and Greendale for the balance of his life.
Fred loved the Lord and served Him faithfully throughout his life. He loved and enjoyed his whole family, his wife, sons and their wives, grandchildren and great grandchildren as well as extended family, all his brothers and sisters in law and numerous nieces and nephews. We all loved him and thank him for a life well lived. We will miss him dearly.
He was predeceased by his parents, 4 sisters and 2 brothers and his first wife Margaret. He is survived by his loving wife Ellie of 32 years, his three sons, David, John (Valerie), Paul, (Corey), 7 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life will take place on Thursday, May 17 at 1:00 pm at Cross Connections Church, corner of Princess and Williams, Chilliwack BC.
