Gordon MacDonald passed away on Sunday, Dec. 1, 2002 at Nicola Valley Memorial Hospital in Merritt, at the age of 83 years.
Gordon was born April 12, 1919 in Agassiz. He was of the third generation of the MacDonald’s of Agassiz and a veteran of the Second World War. Gordon was a co-owner of Morrows Moving and Storage for many years.
In 1970 he moved to the Yukon and worked in road construction and mining. After retiring in 1987, he moved to Merritt and enjoyed fishing, hunting and camping. Gordon was a life member of the Fraser Valley and the Yukon Shrine Clubs.
He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Mary; daughter Susan; grandchildren, Terasa and Gordon; sister Ethel; brother Allan; numerous nieces and nephews; and two step-sons.
He was predeceased by his parents, Clarence and Jenny MacDonald.
