Gordon Lester Taylor passed away on April 15, 2008 at Chilliwack General Hospital at the age 77 years. He was born March 8, 1931 in Rosetown, Saskatchewan, but lived most of his life in Chilliwack BC.

Les was a carpenter for many years but his passion was sitting behind the wheel of a gravel truck.

He enjoyed having coffee with his friends almost as much as his daily bowls of ice cream.

Les is survived by Claire, the mother of his children, Judy (Brian), Gordon (Gloria), Neil (Frieda), Cathy (Brian), Tracy (Stan), Sheryl (Curtis), grandchildren; Christine, Robert, Tammy, Sheree, Tim, Tony, Adam, Ashley, Josh, Jessica, Kris and several great-grandchildren; adopted family Russ-Ella, her children, special friend Irene, sisters Florence (Vernon), Dorothy, brothers Ernie (Irene) and Ray (Jean).

Survived by a very special sister-in-law Audrey and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his mother and father, sister Eunice, brother Jim, and special friend Marj.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, May 3, 2008 at 3:00 p.m. from the Tea Room at Henderson’s Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Lung Association or the Cancer Society.
